The questions we get asked most.

Ten answers covering timelines, documents, deregistration, SARS and how we work. If yours is not here, ask us directly. We reply to every enquiry.

Getting started

How long does a company registration take?

Most registrations are lodged the same day we receive your documents. CIPC usually issues the registration certificate within a few working days, depending on their processing times and whether you are reserving a new name.

What documents do you need from me?

For most registrations: certified ID copies of all directors, proof of residential address, and your preferred company names. We confirm the exact list when we send your quote, so nothing is missed.

Do you work with clients outside Gauteng?

Yes. Our service is fully remote and we have clients around the country. Documents are exchanged by WhatsApp or email, and certificates are delivered electronically.

Fixing problems

My company was deregistered. Can it be saved?

In most cases, yes. We handle reinstatements, bring your outstanding CIPC annual returns up to date, and restore the company to active status so you can trade and bank again.

What happens if I miss a CIPC annual return?

CIPC charges penalties that grow the longer the return is outstanding, and a company that stays non-compliant is eventually placed in deregistration. Both are fixable, but the cost rises the longer it is left, so it is worth dealing with early.

Can you take over my monthly compliance?

Yes. Many clients keep us on for monthly payroll, EMP201 and VAT submissions, plus annual returns and COIDA renewals, so nothing slips past a deadline.

Tax & SARS

Do I need to be VAT registered?

VAT registration becomes compulsory once your taxable turnover passes the SARS threshold over a twelve month period. Below that it is voluntary, and whether it helps depends on your customers and your input costs. We will talk it through with you before registering anything.

Do you need my SARS eFiling login?

No. We are added to your eFiling profile as a registered tax practitioner, which gives us the access we need without you sharing your password. You keep full control of the profile and can remove that access at any time.

Working with us

What does it cost?

Pricing depends on the service and how much catch-up work is involved. Send us your details and we will come back with a written, fixed quote, usually within one working day, before any work begins.

How do I pay?

By EFT, against an invoice we send with the quote. Payment terms are confirmed in writing before work starts, so there are no surprises later.
